Today, pastor Jamie Rasmussen starts a new series, on the Book of James, called "Get Real".
James, the brother of Christ, challenges us to consider our trials as joy, and to persevere in our race for the blessings that lie ahead.
Pastor Rasmussen shares that we will need three things to give us the endurance needed:
- Wisdom - James 1:5
- Faith - James 1:6-8, 17-18
- Obedience - James 1:21-27
When we persevere then the reward is great:
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12)
